| | Last night was one of the best nights I've had yet...I met one of the students, a girl named Eun-Young, who knew a little English. We started talking and then ended up hanging out in her room all night with a lot of the girls. We sang and danced to Britney Spears' songs together (hey, it was a way to bond)! It was so fun! Eun-Young is hilarious! She's smart, beautiful and witty. There's something about her that reminds me of Katie Kolacki (Katie I miss you!)...she's just a very down-to-earth, cool girl. I even showed her a picture of Katie and I. We sat up talking for a few hours and showing each other pictures. Another girl, Mi-Young, is also really smart and fun. She has a homepage at http://www.cyworld.com/you117711. All of the girls here pulled all-nighters for their exams. The Korean education system is the most disciplined that I've ever seen. Even though Eun-Young and Mi-Young are only in high school, they are studying things that I didn't even study in college. Mi-Young wants to be an international fashion designer. Tonight we're going to the dorm's singing room. If it's anything like the crowd that gathered in Eun-Young's room last night, then you might as well call it a school assembly. |
